Blue Grass on the Green
Held the Saturday of the Firemen Field Days on the Village Green, Main Street, this is an afternoon of live bluegrass music by an outstanding line-up of performers.

Christmas on the Green
Held the second Friday in December on the Village Green, Main Street.

Cortland County Chautauqua
Held the first Sunday- Thursday of August on the Village Green, Main Street. Classes offer an opportunity to learn and laugh, grow and worship.



Farmers’ Market
Held May through October on Wednesdays and Saturdays on the Village Green, Main Street.

Firemen Field Days
Held the first Thursday through Saturday in June at the Village Fire Station on Main Street.

Holiday in Homer
Held on the next to last Saturday in July on the Village Green, Main Street, Holiday in Homer is one of Cortland County’s oldest arts and crafts festivals.

Reading of the Declaration of Independence
Held each year on July 4th at 10 am on the Village Green, Main Street.


Route 90 Garage Sale
Held the last full weekend of July. This 50-mile sale runs along scenic Route 90 from Homer to Montezuma.

Summer Concerts on the Green
Free performances held Wednesday evenings during the summer months on the Village Green, Main Street.

WinterFest
Held the first Friday and Saturday of February at various locations throughout the Village.

The Village of Homer celebrates winter with a fireworks display and bonfire, parade, children’s events, an antiques and craft fair, human dog sled races, a wine tasting and loads of great food and fun.

Skating on the Green
Free outdoor skating on the Village Green, Main Street from approximately December – March, weather permitting.
